The first step to finding the right ship for a cargo is making sure the Owners are aware of that cargo.

With a fleet of over 50,000 merchant ships registered in 150 different countries and owned by thousands of individual owners, no one party in the shipping industry can have direct contact with more than a small segment of the market.  Accordingly relying on any one party’s contacts to find that right ship is more likely to result in failure than success.  It is for this reason that we utilize a panel of vetted freight brokers who have proven reliable when we approach the market with inquiries. The panel is adjusted based on the individual inquiry in order to ensure coverage with the right pool of owners and to make sure that there are enough brokers for broad coverage, but not so many that they are not motivated to work on your behalf. We also keep brokers motivated by refusing to show favoritism.  We are religious about sending out inquiries simultaneously to all brokers without giving any broker an opportunity to get a jump on any other broker other than by having the right connections with the right shipowners.
